Our Curriculum at Knights Enham Schools

All aspects of our curriculum are accessible to all children, irrespective of their ethnic background, gender, disability, religious or linguistic background. We strive hard to meet the needs of those pupils with special education needs, those with disabilities, those who are more able, those with special gifts and talents and the children who are learning English as an additional language. We provide a rich, challenging curriculum, which stretches all of our children.

Mr McBride School Improvement Leader Rationale for Curriculum Design

This rationale and curriculum aims have been created in consultation with all stakeholders of the school; it has been designed not only to provide breadth of knowledge and progression of skills across KS2, but to prepare our children for KS3 and beyond following the National Curriculum.

Teaching at Knights Enham Schools is a process that is supported by the school vision and aims to meet the needs of all our pupils through enjoyment, experiences and the school values (Knights’ Way). Teaching at Knights Enham is driven by five key mile stones to success which are outlined in the Teaching and Learning policy.

It is our vision that at Knights Enham Schools come together as a school community to provide inclusive and ambitious learning experiences where our pupils feel safe and motivated to achieve their best.

Our inclusive curriculum aims to be ambitious and challenging for all children in school, created with a carefully sequenced and progressive programme of knowledge and skills across all subjects.
